Our opinion on the Ancheer electric mountain bike

The Ancheer Power Plus is one of the cheapest semi-suspended electric mountain bikes on the market. It is also one of the lightest despite a battery that can last more than 31 miles. Real bargain or gimmick?

The Ancheer Power Plus 350W is no longer available for sale, but great alternatives exist. I particularly recommend this mountain bike which has better technical characteristics (especially a range 3 times greater! Yes, you read that right!) for a similar price.

My review of the Ancheer Power Plus (350W)

The Ancheer Power Plus mountain bike is a very good mountain bike, assembled in Europe despite its low price. It has some pretty cool features for its price:

• Strong and light frame : the fork is made of carbon steel and the handlebar is made of aluminum alloy. This makes the bike light but very robust. These metals can withstand heavy weights as well as rough terrain and mountain paths.

• Removable, long-lasting battery : the Ancheer mountain bike can be loaded on or off the frame easily. The battery can last 31 miles.

• 3 Mode of operation : 100% electric bike, pedal assistance or without assistance.

• 1 year warranty.

• Very low price.

Design

The Ancheer Power Plus mountain bike is quite similar to the Decathlon mountain bikes (for a price divided by 2): it is not a luxury design but it remains very qualitative. On top of that it is really very light for an electric mountain bike. It is equipped with a 21-speed Shimano derailleur, and 2 assistance modes (assisted bike or electric bike, the choice is yours) which allows it to tackle slopes and climbs without any difficulty. This is ideal to ride while adapting to the terrain. Double disc brakes are also on the MTB at the front and rear which improves reliability and safety.

Another feature to highlight in this Ancheer all-terrain electric bike is the front suspension fork. It has excellent shock absorption which is great for user comfort. It makes every ride smoother while improving cornering ability.

Performance and engine

On the performance side, this e-MTB is powered by a 250W brushless (frictionless) motor. Admittedly, there are more powerful mountain bikes that deliver powers of 500W. If it’s not a bafang motor (the best!), at least, the Ancheer Power Plus mountain bike is homologated and does not require special insurance.

Despite its 250W, you can be sure that this mountain bike is still where it’s expected in terms of performance. No problem climbing slopes and even working alone, without having to pedal, like a motorcycle. A real plus!

Battery

This power comes from its 36 volt 8 Ah lithium battery (check out: the best e-bikes batteries). When the battery is fully charged, it can theoretically travel up to 31 miles. During tests in real conditions, on mountain bike roads, we noticed that we could reach 28 miles.

If you want to use the bike for a night ride know that it is equipped with an LED light at the front to illuminate your path and stay safe. An electric horn is also present.

Conclusion

We really appreciated the versatility of this Ancheer Power Plus electric mountain bike. which is an ideal companion for the city, as well as for off-road rides where there is uphill. The long battery life is a real plus, as is the bike’s 2-year warranty.

Thanks to its all-purpose look, its very discreet battery (which loks like a water bottle) and its lightness (44 lbs), the Ancheer mountain bike can indeed be used as an ordinary bike (without assistance) and as an electric bike if needed. Pleasure !
